The Safety & Loss Control Grant Program is designed to assist CIRA members in enhancing employee safety and preventing liability losses through training, as well as the purchase of equipment or services. We believe that each member can reduce their exposure through proactive risk management in both the community and the workplace.

CIRA staff is available to help you maximize the impact of your grant award through thorough loss analysis, consultation services, and partnerships with industry experts.

• Allocation: $3,500 per year, with unused funds accruing for up to one additional year (max $7,000)
• Eligible Uses: Training, equipment, services, and reimbursement for conference attendance (e.g., PARMA and CAJPA)
• Application: Complete the Grant Application and check CIRA Safety & Loss Control Grant.

The Flexible Spending Fund (FSF) is a legacy allocation for current CIRA members that were formerly members of the PARSAC pool. Funds may be used broadly for eligible projects and initiatives that support member needs, with some restrictions (e.g., not for salary/benefits or claim settlements).

• Allocation: Varies by member based on legacy balance
• Eligible Uses: Flexible; may be used for training, safety improvements, ADA upgrades, equipment, and more
