Special Events Program
The Special Events Program was established to help members transfer risk to individuals or groups using public facilities for events such as weddings, athletic competitions, fairs, or parades. The program offers coverage limits of up to $5 million per occurrence and includes protection for both public and private events. Coverage options encompass athletic participants, instructors and volunteers, vendors, exhibitors, concessionaires, and liquor liability.
Alliant’s Special Events Program Manual is designed to provide an overview of the Special Event Liability Insurance Program, which includes the Tenant User Liability Program, the Instructor-Recreation Class Liability Program, and the Nominee Program for public entity-sponsored events. The manual also offers instructions on how to implement coverage for these specific events.
Alliant Online Portal — To access Allliant’s Online Portal, each user must request user login from Alliant before they can access the program.
Special Events Handbook Resource
CIRA has developed a Special Events Handbook Guide to assist members in implementing policies and procedures for managing events. This handbook is designed to be customized and provided to third parties wishing to hold events at public facilities. It covers entity policies, insurance information, application timing, and procedures for ensuring a successful event.
